Non-Personal Service Type Contract to provide Reagents, Blood Products/Testing

The Great Plains Area Indian Health Service (GPAIHS) is planning a sole-source award with United Blood Services (Blood Systems, Inc.) to provide blood and blood products for the Rosebud IHS Hospital in Rosebud, South Dakota. The Rosebud IHS Hospital is located in a rural area. United Blood Services is the closest available facility to provide specific Blood Bank Products, Reagents, Antibody Testing, and Antigen Identification within a 4-hour time frame, provide routine Blood Bank procedures, Fresh Frozen Plasma, and to supply the service unit with necessary Blood products in emergency situations in a short time frame. The period of performance will be a Base Year with two (2) One-Year Options. Attached is a Justification for Other Than Full and Open Competition (Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1, 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) (1).
