The Department of Veterans Affairs Mid-Atlantic Health Care Network (VISN 6) intends to negotiate Sole Source follow-on commercial item services procurement for Ambulance Services with Richmond Ambulance Authority, 2400 Hermitage Road, Richmond, Virginia 23260 for a four (4) month period. The Contractor shall provide Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Critical Care Transport Ambulance Services 24 hrs per day, 7 days a week per year for the beneficiaries of the Richmond VA on an as-needed basis and for patients with regular standing appointments at either the VA or private facilities in the community. This proposed procurement is for supplies or services for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, interest parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 4 June 2012, noon local time. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
