Q -- Perform Newborn Screening Services for Malcolm Grow Medical Center located at Andrews AFB MD

The 89th Contracting Squadron, Andrews Air Force Base intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Pediatrix Screening in Bridgeville, PA 15017 for PKU newborn screening for Malcolm Grow Medical Center. The resulting contract will be a firm fixed price contract. Negotiation being conducted using other than full and open competition procedures pursuant to authority of FAR 6.302-1(b)(1). The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within three (3) days after date of publication of this synopsis. The Government will not be responsible for any cost incurred in proposal preparation. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which will be considered by the agency.
