Q--Amendment to Synopsis: Senior Optometrists, Senior Opthalmology Technicians and Opthalmology Technicians to Support the Warfighter Refractive Eye Surgery Program (WRESP)

This revised synopsis serves to announce the intent of the North Atlantic Regional Contracting Office (NARCO) to issue a solicitation for an on going requirement for Senior Optometrists, Senior Opthalmology Technicians and Opthalmology Technicans an ongoing requirement to support the Warfighter Refractive Eye Surgery Program (WRESP), within the National Capital region to include the following locations: Fort Belvoir Community Hospital FBCH), Ft Belvoir, VA, and Walter Reed National Naval Medical Center (WRNNMC) Bethesda, MD. The contractor shall furnish all labor, tools, materials, transportation and all else necessary to provide this service. The period of performance will be 01 October 2012 - 30 September 2013, plus four one-year options for a total performance period not to exceed 60 months. The Performance Work Statement (PWS) will be posted with the Solicitation. The solicitation will be uploaded to fedbizops via https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi/ approximately 23 July 2012. All offers must be submitted via the Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) Bid Response System (BRS), which allows vendors to submit bids on solicitations posted at the ASFI/FEDBIZOPS. Please hold all questions until solicitation has been posted. This acquisition is being offered for competition limited to Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) concerns. The SIC code applicable to this acquisition is 8042, and the associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this procurement is 621320 and the small business size is $7 Million. The requirement will be solicited as a commercial service in accordance FAR 19.14. All interested must download the solicitation from FEDBIZOPS.
