--Sole Source justification and authority for sole source award to CNI Medical Services, LLC, for dental services.

The Center for Health Care Contracting, MEDCOM Health Care Acquisition Activity, Ft Sam Houston, TX intends to extend sole source contract, W81K04-07-D-0009, with CNI Medical Services LLC, 2020 Arlington Street, Suite 3, ADA, OK 74820-2822. The contract requires Dental services for the U.S. Army in the Continental United States (CONUS). All services will be personal services (10 USC 2304(c)(1)) and will be provided by General Dentists, Endodontists, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Periodontists, Prosthodontists, Dental Hygienists, Dental Therapy Assistants, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Assistants, Prophylaxis Technicians, and Dental Assistants. This extension is a short term requirement for the period 1 Jun 2008 through 30 Sep 2008 and a follow-on to an existing extension of services for the period 1 Dec 2007 through 31 May 2008, under FAR Clause 52.217-8, Option to Extend Services. The Government has determined that the extensions with the incumbent is the best means to maintain the required services and to ensure no lapse in services upon expiration of contract W81K04-07-D-0009, pending award of a new CONUS Dental Contract.
