Notice of intent to award a Sole Source Procurement. The Government intends to issue a sole source purchase order for medical standards records review in accordance to FAR Part 13 regulations. The service will include reviewing physical exams, accession physicals, and associated medical documents for compliance with applicable Air Force medical standards stated in AFI 48-123. The award will go to Virtual Flight Surgeons, 14707 E. 2nd Ave, Suite 210, Aurora, CO 80011. The period of performance shall be 9/15/05- 9/14/06 at HQ ARPC 67660 E Irvington Pl # 7000, Denver, CO 80280-7000. This requirement is sole source due to the fact that Virtual Flight Surgeons is the only known responsible source that has certified physicians with a proven background in aerospace medicine. The 460th Contracting Squadron intends to award a purchase order using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals.
