The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Medical Center, Butner, North Carolina, intends to issue a firm-fixed price, sole source purchase order to Duke Private Diagnostic Clinic (PDC), Durham, North Carolina. This non-competitive action is being issued by the Federal Correctional Complex, Butner, NC. The Federal Correctional complex has a need for healthcare services for inmates referred to Duke University Medical Center. Duke PDC is the professional physician group for DUMC and the only entity able to provide required services. The Government believes that Duke PDC is the only physician group able to satisfy the agency requirement. This is not a request for competitive quotes. This is a sole source procurement under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Thank Full and Open Competition (FAR 6.302-1). The intent of this Special Notice is for informational purposes only. However, all information received within 3 working days after the date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
