Notice of Intent to Award Sole Source Contract - Hubert Humphrey Job Corps Center

The US Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration, intends to award a sole source contract to MINACT of 5220 Keele Street, Jackson, MS 39206 for the Operation of the Hubert Humphrey Job Corps Center. The statutory authority permitting the acquisition of this requirement by other than full and open competition is 41 USC 253(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible Source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirement. Job Corps is a national training program that provides comprehensive academic, residential and career technical and training services to approximately 60,000 disadvantage youth each year at 125 Job Corps centers nationwide. This requirement is for the operation of the Hubert Humphrey Job Corps Center located in St. Paul, Minnesota. The anticipated period of performance is a six month base period; with two option periods of 6 months (18 months total). The requirement includes the provision of academics, career technical, career success skills, and career development training and related support services for an estimated 334 students. This is a sole source notice published for informational purposes only and is not a request for proposal. Therefore, no solicitation documents exist for this requirement. However, all responsible parties interested in responding to this notice are invited to submit a capability statement including costs by 12:00pm Eastern Time by July 31, 2014, that provides sufficient details for consideration by the Government, via e-mail transmittal to [email protected] . The determination not to compete the contract based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
