Description
The Clinical Center at the National Institutes of Health, Department of Clinical Research Informatics intends to negotiate on a sole source basis, under the authority of 41 United States Code (U.S.C.) 253(c)(1) as set forth in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1 a contract for 10x7x365 application support based technical support for the eSphere System supporting the Pain and Palliative Care activities at the Clinical Center. Currently the NIH Clinical Center Pain and Palliative Care Service utilizes the eSphere system for the data capture of the incoming PPCS order, automated documentation of the initial pain Consult and all follow up visits and PPCS modalities and for progress notes. The eSphere system has recently been enhanced to include a new documentation approach for the PPCS Pain Management program. Additionally the requirements include the staff training for new staff and software support services for the eSphere based database system.
