--Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Contract to Sanitary Disposal Inc., for Refuse Dumpster Services.

US Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District intends to solicit on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 to Sanitary Disposal Inc. This procurement is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) only on e responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This requirement is to provide and empty dumpsters at designated sites on McNary Lock and Dam Lands. The Government intends to negotiate a firm-fixed price contract on a sole source basis. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities to perform the requirements in writing to the identified point of contact no later than 14:00 hrs Pacific Time Zone on 21 March 2008. Your response must demon strate your firms capabilities and experience. These will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort with fu ll and open competition, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. No RFP will be issued based upon this Notice of Intent.
