Notice of Intent to Award a Hubzone Sole Source Contract for DCSA Nationwide Shredding

NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE HS002123R0008 Please see below for details surrounding the Government’s intent to award a Hubzone sole-source contract to Griffin Resources. Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) requires proper destruction and recycling of designated paper material that may contain Personally Identifiable Information (PII). All shredding must be performed on-site subject to DCSA oversight. Supervision, disposal transportation, and other items and services necessary to shred paper products to render them unusable, unreadable, and shall remove shredded material. Additionally, the contractor shall supply sufficient personnel and/or vehicles to transport the materials to be shredded in the on-site DCSA facility parking lot. The Contractor shall clean/remove all residue and residual shredding material from the on-site shredding process. The period of performance includes a 12-month base period and four (4) 12-month option periods. The Sole Source Justification will be posted to the Government point of entry (GPE) sam.gov post-award. This notice does not constitute a request for proposal, request for quote, or invitation for bid. The intent of this notice is to provide the pre-solicitation information required by FAR 5.2 Synopsis of Proposed Contract Actions. DCSA intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source using the authority of FAR 6.302-5 Authorized or required by statute. The purpose of this action is to inform the industry of DCSA’s intent to sole-source a contract with Griffin Resources LLC.. The applicable NAICS code for this requirement is 561990 “All Other Support Services” with a small business size standard of $14.5M. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals.
