The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Caribbean Healthcare System, San Juan, Puerto Rico intends to negotiate a sole source procurement with the incumbent, Lydia Boschetti, DBA Action Exterminating, P.O Box 9225, Bayamon, P.R. 00968 under the authority of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-2 Unusual and Compelling Urgency. The North American Industry Classification System is 561710 with a Size Standard of $7.0 million. These services are to provide labor, materials, equipment to accomplish surveillance, trapping, pesticide application and pest removal as per the Integrated Pest Management Program for the VA Caribbean Healthcare System, San Juan, P.R., Tres Rios, Network Contracting Activity-8-San Juan (6th floor) and Fiscal Service(3rd floor),Guaynabo,P.R..The period of performance for this procurement will cover from October 1, 2012 through December 31, 2012 until the new long term requirement review process is completed.
