41 -- Metasys Energy Management and Control System (EMCS)

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE: The 3rd Contracting Squadron, Elmendorf AFB, AK intends to exercise option 1 of a sole source contract to Johnson Controls, Inc. for the Facility Maintenance Support Service of the Metasys Energy Management and Control System (EMCS) at 3rd Medical Group Hospital, Elmendorf AFB, Alaska. This sole source action is limited to the specific brand name manufacturer already in place at the 3rd Medical Group Hospital and no other service provider will be considered for this award. This acquisition will be acquired using FAR Part 12, FAR Part 15, and Other Than Full and Open Competition as authorized by FAR 6.302-1. Contract period of performance is for a base year beginning 1 October 2004, plus seven one-year options. This notice is neither a request for competitive proposals nor a solicitation of offers. A determination by the government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
