R--Intent of Sole Source Award of 4-Month Bridge Contract for Patient Appointing Services at Captain James. A. Lovell Federal Health Clinic

The U.S. Army Health Care Acquisition Activity (HCAA), Center for Health Care Contracting (CHCC), Fort Sam Houston, Texas intends to award a contract on a sole source basis to Health Net Federal Services, Inc., 2025 Aerojet Road, Rancho Cordova, CA 95742-6418. The requirement is for Patient Appointment Services for for the Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center, Great Lakes, IL; formerly known as Naval Health Clinic Great Lakes. Currently 40,086 appointing transactions are performed per year at this MTF. The Contractor shall be required to make appointments, call patients and reschedule and/or cancel appointments, and correct appointment booking errors. The Contractor shall supply the appropriate telephony equipment and access to 1-800-941-4501 (for patient continuity) to support/receive telephone appointment calls for the estimated 40,800 appointments to be booked by the contractor in the upcoming year. The Contractor shall provide services Monday through Friday, from 0700 to 1700 hours. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 561110. The CHCC intends to award a 4-month bridge contract to provide the Patient Apponinting Services no later than September 28, 2010. The anticipated period of performance is October 1, 2010 through January 31, 2011. This is a sole source award. The CHCC intends to solicit and negotiate only with Health Net Federal Services under the authority of FAR 13.501(a). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, any quotes, proposals, or capability statements received by close of business on Monday, September 27, 2010, will be considered by the contracting officer.
