Notice of intent to award sole source order for clerical services, Oconee National Forest

The Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest intends to issue a sole source purchase order to Cheri L. Horne, 109 Old Copelan Rd, Eatonton GA for receptionist and clerical services on the Oconee Ranger District, Eatonton GA for the period March 1, 2013 through February 28, 2014. The forest requires an individual that is knowledgeable in District operating procedures and holds the required USDA access credentials. The anticipated value of the order is less than $30,000. Authority for this single source procurement is FAR 13.106(b) for purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold, contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available. Ms. Horne has previously provided services to the district and meets that experience and credentialing requirements. There are no other know individuals with the same credentials in the local commuting area. This notice is not a request for competitive quotations. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored.
