R--Notice of Intent to Sole Source - National Database of Nursing Quality Indicators Service Contract

The Department of Veterans Affairs, NCO 17 Network Contracting Office, on behalf of VA North Texas VAHCS Dallas intends to issue a sole source firm fixed priced contract to Press Ganey Associates, Inc., 404 Columbia Street, South Bend, IN 46601. Press Ganey Associates, Inc. will furnish all labor, equipment, and expertise necessary to provide professional support services for the National Database of Nursing Quality Indicators. The purpose of this contract is to provide quarterly and annual reporting of structure, process, and outcome indicators to evaluate nursing care. Linkages between nurse staffing levels and patient outcomes are demonstrated through the utilization of this database. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1 and 13.106-1(b) (2), soliciting from a single source. The NAICS code is 541990 and has a size standard of $15.0M for this procurement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 8:00am CST, January 10, 2017 to [email protected]. No telephone inquiries will be accepted. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. All response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government.
