NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE Project Title: FDA-23-1262586 –Preventative Maintenance (PM) and Qualification Service (QS) for Peak Scientific Stacked Generator System. Announcement No: FDA-23-1262586 The Government hereby submits a notice of intent to award a sole source contract to Peak Scientific, Inc. for Preventative Maintenance (PM) and Qualification Service (QS) for Peak Scientific Stacked Generator System. The total estimated value is less than $48K. This sole source contracting action a notice pursuant to FAR 5.203(a) for the requirement based on the application of FAR 6.302-1. This hereby constitutes a synopsis of this requirement. This is an award under NAICS Code 811219. Peak Scientific, Inc. is the sole-source vendor for preventive maintenance on the current Peak Scientific Stacked Generator System and is also the only vendor that can provide validated parts necessary for replacement or repair on the current generator. To ensure that the Peak Scientific Stacked Generator System maintains its instrument qualifications this procurement should be sole sourced to Peak Scientific, Inc. Responses to this notice must demonstrate clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government, would not be cost or time prohibitive, and would not hinder the mission objective of the FDA. The determination not to compete this proposed contract action solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred by responding to this notice. This is NOT a request for quotes or proposals.
