--Provide attending veterinarian services for the EL Animal Care and Use Program

ERDC Contracting Office intends to solicit on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 to Senter Consulting Services, 1808 Lakeview Dr., Starkville, MS 39759-7853 for veterinarian services on the Environmental Laboratory (EL) Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) in Vicksburg, MS. Veterinarian must be ACLAM certified to care for lizards, fish and other aquatic species. Must be in driving distance of this institution. This procurement is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The Government intends to acquire a commercial service using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30pm CST on 2 June 2008. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. No RFP will be issued based upon this Noitce of Intent.
