R -- Spanish Language Translation and Localization Support Services for HUD's website

In accordance with Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Circular A-76 (Revised May 29, 2003) on the Performance of Commercial Activities, the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) announces that it will conduct an A-76 Streamlined Competition in support of Spanish translation services. The National Technologies, Inc, a contractor, is currently performing this function. The cost of private sector performance of this function will be estimated using documented market research/current contract costs. A Most Efficient Organization will be developed to determine the cost of agency performance. Please note that this is not a request for proposals. A solicitation for renewal of contract services will be issued only if the performance decision is for private sector performance. The Competitive Sourcing Official is Carin M. Barth, Chief Financial Officer, and the Agency Tender Official is Inez Banks-Dubose. The contracting officer is Tony M. Karpowicz. The projected end date of the competition is on or before June 29, 2005.
