Applied History and Policy Support Program within the Historical Office of the Office of the Secretary of Defense

Washington Headquarters Service intends to solicit on a sole source basis under the statutory authority permitting Other than Full and Open Competition 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements to Amanda Marie Kempa, 1133 14th Street NW, apt 1205, Washington DC 20005 to conduct research and write a variety of historical products for the Applied History and Policy Support Program within the Historical Office of the Office of the Secretary of Defense. The historical products of the Applied History and Policy Support Program include oral histories, special projects on topics outside the scope of the official Secretaries of Defense Historical Series, historical information papers and reference responses for DoD leadership, organizational histories of OSD offices, historical content for office web site, and updating the electronic publication, DoD Key Officials. This notice of intent is not a request for proposals or quotations. Requests for copies of a solicitation in response to this notice will not be honored or acknowledged. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely with in the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether conducting a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government. Interested parties may identify their capabilities by responding to this requirement, no later than 10:00 am EST, 20 July 2011. All information submitted should support the offerors capability to provide the items required, and shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. Responses must be in writing and must provide clear and concise documentation indicating an offerors bona fide capability to provide these items. Verbal responses are not acceptable and will not be considered. Responses may be submitted via email if the total file size is less than 5MB.
