A--Intent to sole souce under the authority of FAR 6.302-3 to FFRDC Rand Arroyo

This is a Special Notice, it does not constitute a formal solicitation or request for offers and none will be issued. The U.S. Army Contracting Command- Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG) Division D, APG, MD 21005, on behalf of the Headquarters Department of the Army, G-8 intends to award one sole source Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF), Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract for analytical research for the Army. The anticipated ordering period is five (5) years. The Government intends to negotiate on a sole source bases with RAND Corporation, 1776 Main St, P.O. Box 2138, Santa Monica, CA, Cage Code: 11578 under the statutory authority permitting Other Than Full and Open Competition 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(3), as implemented by FAR 6.302-3, Industrial Mobilization; Engineering, Developmental, Research Capability; or Expert Services.
