NASA/Johnson Space Center (JSC) has a requirement for design, fabrication, test, and delivery of ¼” and ⅜” stainless steel quick disconnects and ½” titanium quick disconnects. NASA/JSC intends to issue a modification to existing contract 80JSC024CA001 with Outpost Technologies, Inc. which was awarded December 04,2023, on a sole source basis for design, fabrication, test, and delivery to complete of ½” stainless steel and ¼” titanium quick disconnects. After contract award, the International Space Station (ISS) Vehicle Office (OB) determined further design and production of quick disconnects in alternate sizes and materials is required. NASA/JSC intends to negotiate a modification to the contract with Outpost Technologies, Inc. for these services on a sole source basis. Outpost Technologies, Inc. is a small business concern. The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this acquisition on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
