Provide the delivery of male imported-Chinese and/or male domestic-Indian Rhesus macaques at 8-10 kilograms mass in support of Naval Medical Research Unit San Antonio

The Naval Medical Logistics Command (NMLC), on behalf of the Naval Medical Research Unit San Antonio (NAMRU-SA) is issuing a combined synopsis/solicitation to provide the delivery of male imported-Chinese and/or male domestic-Indian Rhesus macaques at 8-10 kilograms mass. These Rhesus macaques are the best research models for testing resuscitation fluids and hemorrhagic shock. The combined synopsis/solicitation is for commercial items prepared in accordance with FAR 12.6, Streamlined Procedures for Commercial Items, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Also, this acquisition is being conducted under FAR 13.5, Test Program Procedures for commercial items. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a Request for Quotation is being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 05-87 are incorporated. It is the contractor's responsibility to be familiar with the applicable clauses and provisions.
