DA01--*Notice of Intent to Sole Source* CDI Pro Software Support / VERA Analyzer VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System Base + 4 Option Years

Nuance Communications, Inc. is the sole manufacturer of and maintains proprietary rights to Clintegrity VA CDI Pro IP/OP Software, VERA Analyzer and associated services. Currently, these solutions are only available under SEWP contract NNG15SD19B and sold to individual VA Medical Centers from Nuance's sole authorized reseller, Alvarez LLC. NCO 4 intends to utilize the authority granted by FAR Subpart 16.505(b)(2)(i)(B) to contract directly with Alvarez LLC for a Base + 4 Option Years of service. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or a solicitation for offers. However, parties interested in responding to this notice shall submit technical data, including cost, sufficient to determine capability in providing the same product to Bruce Jackson II, Contracting Officer, at [email protected] by July 26, 2014, no later than 10:00am EDT. All capability statements received by closing of this notification will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This acquisition is being conducted under simplified acquisition procedures. There are no set-aside restrictions for this requirement. The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 541519 with a Small Business Size Standard of 150 employees.
