The Government intends to procure a contract with Nine One One, Centennial, CO 80112-6839, on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 13.501(a). A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This contract is an upgrade to repair, facilitate, and enhance requirements for the Emergency Dispatch (Fire Department and Provost Marshall Office (PMO)) 911 Telephone and Information Systems. Only Nine One One can provide the required upgrade because this emergency response system contains proprietary hardware and software. And, they are the sole source manufacturer. (Numbered Note 22.)
