Notice of Intent to Award The National Park Service, PORE MABO Contracting Office in Point Reyes Station, CA intends to issue a Firm Fixed Price Purchase Order on a sole source basis to the Cooperative Chemical Analytical Laboratory (CCAL), OSU College of Forestry; 3015 Western Blvd; Corvallis, OR 97331, for a base year and four option years of water chemical analysis for Crater Lake National Park located in Klamath County, Oregon. This services procurement is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) soliciting from a single source authorized by FAR Part 13.106-1(b)(1). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 541380, Testing Laboratories. (CCAL) has been providing water sample analyses for the long-term limnological program (LTMP) at Crater Lake since 1984 and is the only laboratory that can supply the water chemistry analysis to meet the specific needs of the Crater Lake LTMP, which is to provide scientifically credible and comparable long-term monitoring. The estimated total cost for the base year and four option periods is $42,736.00. THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. The Government intends to award this requirement noncompetitively in accordance with FAR 6.302.1 - Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for quote/proposal. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
