Under the authority of FAR Part 15, the US Army Engineering and Support Center Huntsville, intends to negotiate and award a purchase order on a sole source basis with NAEVA Geophysics, Inc. not to exceed $40,000.00. This purchase order will be for N AEVA Geophysics, Inc. to provide a comprehensive user manual at a level of detail that will allow for the system to be commercially used in the search for UXO by an employee that has never worked with the system. The user manual is for the Man Portable Du al Mode Geophysical Sensor System that has been partially developed and solely demonstrated by NAEVA under contract with the US Army Corps of Engineers Engineering Research and Design Center, with a recent demonstration at the Aberdeen Proving Grounds Nati onal UXO test site. These efforts have been with the prototype equipment, software, and procedures. NAEVA is the sole provider of support for this equipment because of the work they performed in jointly developing, and solely operating, testing and enhan cing the system for geophysical anomaly investigations. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses is solely within the discretion of the Government.
