C -- Architect-Engineering Services for the US Land Port of Entry, Alexandria Bay, NY

THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT. GSA intends to award a follow-on contract to continue the design effort for the Alexandria Bay Land Port of the Entry project to the incumbent architect and engineer contractor. This award will be accomplished in accordance with FAR Subpart 6.302-1, which is entitled, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements." The Alexandria Bay Land Port of the Entry is located on a site in Alexandria Bay, New York, at the junction of Interstate 81 in New York State and Highway 137 in the Province of Ontario, Canada. The incumbent contractor for this effort has reviewed and provided comments on the project program development study; they have completed predesign, preliminary concepts design, final concepts design, and has presented final concept to GSA Chief Architect. For this effort, the licensed architect and engineering firm shall provide professional architect and engineering services related to the completion of the design and construction of the modernization and expansion of the Alexandria Bay Land Port of the Entry. This facility shall accommodate the future needs of federal agencies such as the United States Department of Homeland Security-Bureau of Customs and Border Protection, Food and Drug Administration, Department of Agriculture-Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service- Veterinary Service, and the General Services Administration.
