W065--Intent to Sole Source GeneXpert Analyzer Lease and PM Wilmington VA Medical Center

INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 4 (NCO4) intends to sole source a contract for the rental and PM of a GeneXpert Analyzer and workstation at the Wilmington VA Medical Center, 1601 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE 19805. All work is to be completed in accordance with statement of work and schedule. This sole source contract will be solicited and negotiated with Cepheid, 904 Caribbean Dr., Sunnyvale, CA 94089 under the authority of FAR 6.302.1 Only one responsible source and no other supplies or service will satisfy agency requirements. The GeneXpert Analyzer will be used to detect and diagnose critical illnesses of patients at the Wilmington VAMC. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 532490. The Small Business Administration (SBA) size standard is $35.0 Million. Interested vendors that can meet this requirement, may identify their interest and capability, and respond to this notice by 08/20/2020 by 1:00 PM EST. No solicitation will be made available. This is not a request for quotations. All information shall be provided at no cost or obligation to the Government. Responses must be sent via email to the Contracting Officer at [email protected]. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely at the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Contracting Department will proceed with the sole source negotiation with Cepheid.
