DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS (VA) COMPETITION FOR EXISTING LEASE LOCATION The VA currently occupies 17,011 net usable square feet of space at 7411 John Smith Drive, San Antonio, Texas currently used as office space. The VA has the need for an additional 1,400 net usable square feet. VA is conducting a competition for alternative space and will relocate if advantageous to the Government. The cost of moving, alterations, IT Infrastructure, lease buyout, and other factors will be considered when determining whether to relocate. The space must provide between 18,000 and 19,000 NUSF of space to be located on not more than one floor. On-site parking for 48 vehicles is required. A lease for up to 15 years will be considered. To be considered, space must be within or bordering a delineated area as follows: Begin at the intersection of Babcock Road and Medical Drive NE on Medical Drive to Fredericksburg Road SE on Fredericksburg Road to Louis Pasteur Drive SW on Louis Pasteur Drive to Babcock Road NW on Babcock Road to Medical Drive Offerors must provide evidence that properties are outside the 100-year flood plain. VA staff will conduct a market survey of properties offered for lease.
