R -- Loan Servicing and Liquidation of Government Disaster Home and Disaster Business Loan

This public announcement is being issued as required by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB)Circular A-76. The U.S. Small Business Administration announces that it intends to conduct an A-76 Standard Competition to determine whether or not the work described in support of the SBA Disaster Loan Servicing and Liquidation will be performed by the Federal Government or by a private sector source. Due to the complexity of the activity, the projected end date is estimated to be 12 months from posted date. The Competitive Sourcing Official is Lewis Andrews, ADA/MA. The Contracting Officer is Janet Strong. The Agency Tender Official is James W. Hammersley. The projected end date of the competition is March 31, 2006. Federal employees currently performing the Disaster Loan Servicing function total approximately 140. Contractor employees currently support this function.
