Medicare Administrative Contractor Banking

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services intends to negotiate on a non-competitive basis, an extension of the period of performance of contracts Medicare Administrative Contractor Banking HHSM-500-2010-00007C with J.P. Morgan Chase. The 12 month extension begins March 1, 2015 respectively, will allow for the one year shelf life of check payments made to providers to be honored. The contractors will maintain uninterrupted service until the last provider payment made through their institution is cashed or expired. This sole source modification is being conducted pursuant to the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c) , as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, that only one responsible source and no other type of supply or service will satisfy agency requirements. This is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. All interested sources must respond in writing with clear and convincing evidence to support their ability to perform this work within 15 days after this posting. A determination by the Government not to compete this action, based on the response received is solely within the discretion of the Government.
