Special Notice: Notice of Proposed Sole Source Action- Commercial Internet Services, Portsmouth VA

In accordance with FAR 5.2, this is a notification of a proposed sole-source contract action to COXCOM, LLC for the upgrade and continuation of commercial internet services for the United States Coast Guard C5I- Service Center, Portsmouth, VA. The US Coast Guard, C5I Service Center, intends to solicit and award on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 13.106 1(b) to COXCOM, LLC, 6205B Peachtree Dunwoody Road, Atlanta, Georgia, 30328-4524. This procurement is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) - only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. COXCOM, LLC is the source capable of providing the required services to U.S. Coast Guard. There are no other authorized service providers within the required service area. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Interested vendors may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact no later than 3:00 PM EDT on 14 September 2023. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice of intent is NOT a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for competitive quotes. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.
