T -- Airing of 30 second spots nationwide on public television for a series dedicated to patents, trademarks and importance of intellectual property system.

The United States Patent and Trademark Office intends to award a fixed-price contract on a sole source basis with Bouncing Brains Productions LLC to air 30 second spots on 14 episodes of a new series called, “Everyday Edisons” which will begin airing nationwide on 70 Public Broadcast Stations (PBS) in the Fall of 2006. “Everyday Edisons” is a production of Bouncing Brains. The series is wholly owned by Bouncing Brains Productions. Bouncing Brains Productions is the only company that has a full series dedicated to patents, trademarks, and the importance of intellectual property rights that will be aired nationwide to up to 70 stations on public television. The spots will be part and parcel of the program itself. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to negotiate with only one source. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
