Notice of publicly accessible hydrogen fueling station site on Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, San Diego, California

This serves as public notice that Marine Corps base Camp Pendleton (MCBCP), San Diego, California intends to lease a parcel of land just west of Interstate 5 and north of Harbor Drive for the development of a publicly accessible hydrogen fueling station. Marine Corps Installations West (MCIWEST) is seeking potential sources to develop, operate, and maintain such facilities under a real estate lease agreement. MCIWEST has identified a parcel of land on Department of Navy property at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, which could potentially be made available for the development, operation, and maintenance of a publicly accessible hydrogen fueling station. All facilities would be required to be established in accordance with relevant federal, state, and local laws and regulations. The potential site is subject to change based on MCB Camp Pendleton’s mission requirements. A map of the proposed site is attached to this notice as Exhibit A. MCIWEST will be hosting an Industry Forum on January 14th 2016 in order to meet with potential station developers to discuss the feasibility of the selected site, requirements and the leasing process, and to conduct a tour of the site. The Industry Forum will be held from 9:00am to 12:00pm at the station site, a brief overview will be given in the garage bay on the north side of building 21153. Participants will then visit the station site, which is located on the same parcel of land. A map of the Industry Forum location can be found in Exhibit A. Guests should exit I-5 heading west on Harbor Drive in Oceanside CA, then make the first right onto Camp Pendleton property. The gate will be open to visitors beginning at 8:30am.
