Federal Business Opportunities BV523267 Post for 15 days RE: NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE The United States Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) intends to issue a sole source, firm-fixed price contract award to a single source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The Government intends to award to Blue Ridge Transportation Services, LLC., 2369 W. Longview Dr. Woodbridge VA. 22191 for the procurement of: The services to be procured are the following: 1. Shuttle Bus Services: To provides professional, fully operational, and safe shuttle bus service for the benefit of all civilians, military and contract personnel to include visitors working or visiting the Defense Health Headquarters (DHHQ) facility. This shuttle service also provides transportation services from the Dunn Loring Metro to DHHQ then back to the Dunn Loring Metro, from the Pentagon to DHHQ then back to the Pentagon, and from the Skyline Complex to DHHQ then back to the Skyline Complex. Period of Performance: 28 January 2015 through 24 April 2015. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is Title 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) (1), Only one responsible source, as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1 -- Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. Under the authority of FAR 52.217-8 Option to Extend Services the current contract W81XWH-14-P-0406 will be extended for a period of 3-months while the full and open competition is completed. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 485410 with the size standard of $15M. This notice of intent is not a request for proposals or quotes; however, all responsible sources may submit a quote, if received within fifteen calendar days of the publication of this notice, shall be considered by USAMRAA. All interested sources must respond in writing with clear and convincing evidence to support their ability to provide the required software within 15 days of this publication via e-mail to the Contract Specialist below. This is not a solicitation for proposals or an invitation for bids. The Government does not anticipate receiving responses to this notice of a non-competitive action. If parties choose to respond, any cost associated with preparation and submission of data or any other cost incurred in response to this announcement are the sole responsibility of the respondent and will not be reimbursed by the Government.
