V--Notice of Intent to Award Sole Source Contract Extension for Packing and Crating

The Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC) - Fort Stewart, GA intends to issue an extension to contract W9124M-08-D-0009 under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The extension will be made at the current prices set forth in contract for a period of six months for the period of 1 March 2014 through 31 August 2014. The bridge extension is necessary to provide for the continuation of essential services in support of the Fort Stewart Logistics Readiness Center (LRC) pending the award of a competitive follow-on contract. The intent of the extension is to allow, only, the minimum amount of time required to compete the long term, follow-on contract. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code is 484210 - Used household and office goods moving and the Size Standard is $25.5 million. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES, ONLY, AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This short term extension is being awarded pending issuance of a separate formal solicitation W9124M-14-B-0001 for the longer term follow-on contract. The extension will be made under contract W9124M-08-D-0009 with Nilson Van Storage, PO Box 13249, Savannah, GA, 31416.
