NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE FOR THERMO LABORATORY EQUIPMENT RELOCATION This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT using Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR 13.106-1(b) (1). The US Army Contracting Command - Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG) Tenant Division, 6001 Combat Drive, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD 21005-1846; has a requirement to procure the following service: The U.S. Army Public Health Center (APHC) requires the contractor to de-install and re-install (4) laboratory instruments: (3) Applied Biosystems (ABI) 7500s: SN#s 2750109276, 2750109294, 2750109367; (1) MagMax: SN: 710-1364. Objective 1 – To decommission the equipment identified in this PWS, confirm the instruments pass the self-test and crate/prepare the instrument to ship to be the new location Objective 2 – To unpack, set-up, re-install and requalify/guarantee post move performance in accordance with original equipment manufacturer instrument performance standards at the new location. This is a non-personal services contract to relocate Thermo Laboratory equipment. The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price sole source contract to Life Technologies Corporation, 5781 Van Allen Way, Carlsbad, CA 92008-7321, to de-install and re-install (4) laboratory instruments: (3) ABI 7500s: SN#s 2750109276, 2750109294, 2750109367; (1) MagMax: SN: 710-1364. These instruments will be relocated approximately 1.8 miles from where they are currently located and has been deemed critical. The associated North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 484210 (Used Household and Office Goods Moving) and the Business Size Standard is $30M. All responses received within five businesses (5) days after date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
