V -- V - OMB Circular A-76 Strreamlined Competition for Warehouse Drivers

This notice constitutes a formal public announcement of an Office of the Secretary of Transportation (OST) streamlined competition. OST is conducting a streamlined competition in accordance with OMB Circular A-76, dated May 29, 2003 for warehouse drivers within the OST Office of Information Services (2 FTE located in Washington, D.C.). These services are currently provided by Government personnel. This is not a request for proposals and in no way obligates the Government to award a contract. Prospective offerors are advised that a solicitation will not be issued if the cost of contract performance is determined to be greater than the cost of in-house performance by Government personnel. No solicitation exists at this time. The OST Competitive Sourcing Official is Vincent Taylor. Chuck Doucette is the Agency Tender Official for this streamlined competition and Sherrill King is the Contracting Officer. The projected end date is on or before June 15, 2004.
