F -- CWN Type III Helicopter

Amended 1/19/07 to addd the following: Offers for furnishing services on a Call-When-Needed basis are being solicited from operators that hold certificates in Region 2, states of Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota and Wyoming. Region 2 of the USDA Forest Service has a continuing need for Type III helicopters, fully operational, on a Call-When-Needed (CWN) basis, equipped for forest fire fighting and/or or project work. IF YOU CURRENTLY HAVE A TYPE III CWN CONTRACT WITH REGION 2, NO RESPONSE IS NECESSARY. As each Forest Service Region offers a solicitation for CWN helicopter services, and wildfire land protection agencies work with each other to have nationwide dispatch capabilities, this solicitation shall be limited to those contractors only in Region 2 states: Colorado, Wyoming, South Dakota, Nebraska and Kansas. Contract time would be remainder of 1 option year plus 1 additional option year (expiration 6/12/2008). All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered. Any prospective contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) (http://www.ccr.gov) in order to be eligible for award.
