65--Radiopharmaceutical Agents for Nuclear Medicine Department

NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The VA Central Iowa Health Care System intends to award a sole source contract for radiopharmaceutical agents with Cardinal Health, Inc 1430 Waukegan Road, Waukegan, Illinois 600856726 under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253© and FAR 6.302-1. The contractor is to provide radiopharmaceutical agents and the delivery of those agents for nuclear medicine department procedures within the limited timeframes: Normal weekday delivery - within 24 hours from the telephone order; emergency weekday delivery within 60 minutes of order; emergency weeknight, weekend and holiday delivery within 2 1/2 hours of order. Period of Performance: October 1, 2011 through September 30, 2012. The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industry Classification Systems NAICS 424210 and the business size standard is 100 employees. This is for information purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. Any information submitted to this notice of intent is voluntary. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or a solicitation for offers. No solicitation package is available. A determination by the Government not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government.
