Description The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) intends to issue a sole source award utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures to Floy Tag & Manufacturing, Inc. for fish tags in support of longline survey. Floy tag is the only company that is capable of meeting all the specification required for the tags. These tags have been used for over 10 years and changing tag manufacturers would result in substandard data. This notice of intent is for information purposes only, therefore, no solicitation will result from this announcement. All sources eligible to provide this supply must respond in writing, response must be supported by clear and convincing evidence to clearly be able to provide services for products outlined above. A request for documentation will not be considered an affirmative response. If no responses are received, within 15 days after publication of this notice, to the effect that comparable services are available, and that it is more advantageous to the Government than obtaining these services through a sole-source contract, then a sole source acquisition award will be made.
