30--Schottel Clutch Parts

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers intends to negotiate and award a sole source contract with Schottel Inc citing FAR part 6 subpart 6.302-1. To the best of the Government's knowledge, there are not any other firms that can satisfy this requirement. The work to be done under this contract consists providing various parts to rebuild three (3) Schottel K-305 Clutches. Award of this contract will be in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS, however interested firms may submit a capability statement in response to the above requirement with cost/price information by March 5, 2013 @ 02:00 PM CST to Jackie Primer, Contract Specialist, Phone: (901) 544-3340, Fax: (901) 544-3710, Email: [email protected]. A determination by the Government not to open competition based responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
