The 99th Contracting Squadron at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada 89191, intends to award a contract to A.I.W., Incorporated, for 1 each Caterpillar Mini Hydraulic Excavator, Model # 304 CR on an 8a competitive basis under the authority of FAR 6.203. The notice of this intent is not a request for competitive proposals. The statuatory authority for other than full and open competition is 1 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). A determination not to compete this procurement based on response to this notice is solely within the descretion of the Government.
