THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS AND A SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only the designated source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) intends to award a sole source purchase order to Redding Steel, LLC for D2 Steel. Redding Steel, LLC is the only source that meets BEP's first article testing and certification. Furthermore, this procurement will allow for the BEP to replenish materials until a solicitation can be issued at a later date to obtain other sources. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested parties who believe they possess the capability to satisfy this requirement should submit documentation that clearly demonstrates their capability. Responses to this notice shall be received by 18 March 2015 at 9:00am EST. All responses must be in writing only via email to the point of contact specified in this notice. Any cost associated with the preparation and submission of data or information or any other costs incurred in responding to this notice is the sole responsibility of the respondent and will not be reimbursed by the Government.
