--Notice of intent to award a sole source procurement to RAININ Instrument CO INC.

Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, it is the Government's intent to award a sole source to Rainin Instrument Co., Inc, Rainin Road, Woburn, MA 01888-4026, for the purchase of three hundred (300) LTS Aerosol Resistant, 20 ul tips, 960 in 10 racks and three hundred (300) LTS Aerosol Resistant, 200 ul tips, 960 in 10 racks. Rainin Instruments is the sole source for distribution of the Rainin pipettes and tips and it is mission critical that Rainin provide these pipette tips. This is not a formal solicit ation. This synopsis is not considered a Request for Quotation or Proposal. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. Any respon se to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. If no affirmative written response is received , the purchase will be awarded without further notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract price based on this notice is soley within the discretion of the Government.
