Description

The purpose of this Notice is to identify potential sources that are capable of producing, modifying, and submitting for National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) certification an updated Escape Breathing Apparatus [EBA] for use in the current Chemical Demilitarization Protective Ensemble (DPE). Please see the attachment for a detailed description of the requirement. AMENDMENT 1: The manufacturer for the current EBA is Mine Safety Appliances Company, Pittsburgh, PA, and the NIOSH Approval is TC-13F-353. The response date is extended to November 12, 2013.
