The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Office of Acquisition Management (OAM) on behalf of the Emergency Response Team (ERT) and under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 intends to award a sole source purchase order to RAE Systems for a Rapid Deployment Kit (Part# 038-T12Z-120 -Stainless RDK AREARAE Stell-Detector LEL, o2 Sensor, CO Carbon Monoxide Sensor Gamma Radiation) along with a RDK Host Controller Kit with GPS Option, 900MhZ (Part #039-S200-000). RAE Systems is the designer and manufacturer of the aforementioned equipment. The EPA is not aware of any other vendor capable of providing aforementioned equipment. The data collected by this technology will provide On-Scene-Coordinators, Remedial Project Managers and Federal Health experts with ready access to the remore chemical monitoring real time data information to facilitate decision making during environmenal emergency responses, and other CERCLA remocal or remedial actions. This technology also supports EP A's Office of Homeland Security in its effrots t ocollect and distribute data products across the Incident Command Structure.
