65--Notice of intent to award sole source to Cardinal Health for maintenance of Pyxis systems.

The WNY VA Medical Center in Buffalo, NY intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Cardinal Health (Pyxis Corporation) located 3750 Torrey View Court, San Diego, CA., for maintenance and repair of Pyxis medication storage cabinets. The resulting contract will be firm fixed price. Negotiation is being conducted using other than full and open competition procedures pursuant to authority of FAR 6.302-1(b)(1). The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested person may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within five (5) business days after publication of this synopsis. The Government will not be responsible for any cost incurred in proposal preparation. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which will be considered by the agency.
