This is a notice of the Government's intent to solicit, negotiate and award a sole source contract to Medivance, Inc. The requirement is for the purchase of a Arctic Sun 5000 Hypo/Hyperthermia Unit and a Calibration Unit for the Department of Surgery, located at Womack Army Medical Center (WAMC), Fort Bragg, NC 28310. This is new technology in the field of Hypo/Hyperthermia Units. It has been proven by studies and is recommended by the American Heart Association. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. No compatibles or substitutes accepted. Interested persons may identify their capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Parties interested shall provide detailed information of their capabilities and certification to clearly meet requirements as stated below: 1 each Arctic Sun 5000 Control Module, part number 5000-00-00. 1 each AS5000 Service Kit, part number 771-00 (Included as part of the Arctic Sun 5000). 1 each Calibration Test Unit, part number 741-00.
